D'Amico PH.D. is a highly skilled cognitive behavioral therapist who uses a number of evidenced-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to treat children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. D'Amico specializes in the treatment of anxiety including social, generalized, phobias, panic, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Andrew is well-regarded for his work with children and adolescents and is an expert in childhood behavioral concerns such as depression, disruptive, and impulse-control disorders. A seasoned family therapist, he approaches concerns from a system’s view, working with parents and children together, as well as helping parents separately with specific skills.
Andrew is one of the few practitioners who is trained in the use of Relational Frame Theory, a contextual behavioral approach that helps clients realize their values via the use of experiential conversation.
